Used Corolla, Long Island drivers impressed by Toyota's commitment to service
If you hadn't heard, Toyota had a bit of a PR crisis recently. Fortunately, the company is doing all it can to fix its image and restore the confidence of loyalists in the brand as a whole. In fact, the company has gone to great lengths to make sure brand confidence is restored. Long Island used Rav4 dealers were heavily affected by the gaff, which manifested itself as a sticky acceleration pedal resulting from a dysfunctional floor mat. The good news for Toyota is that company has worked hard to repair and return some 5 million Toyota vehicles. A total of 1.8 million vehicles with sticky acceleration pedals have been fixed. On top of that, another 3.1 million vehicles with dysfunctional floor mats were also given the old service treatment. Now, the company is returning back to normal, and things are business as usual. This kind of assurance helps bolster that confidence by renewing the brand's commitment to putting the customer first.
In order to ensure that this kind of mistake doesn't happen again, Toyota is equipping its vehicles with a new "Smart Stop" system that will help override the system in the case of an emergency. This will add serious value for Long Island used Rav4 drivers – that is, as soon as new Rav4s are released, sold and sold back to used dealerships. With so many new innovations hitting the market, it's great to see that some manufacturers are still fulfilling their commitment to keeping their drivers safe.
