The release of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smart phone has been received with mixed reviews, as there are some who welcome it and others who think it is mostly just good PR. Current BlackBerry users will find the new improvements just what they have been waiting for, and here are a few things they did to an already excellent phone.

The first thing that is noticeably different with the Torch is a 3.2 inch high resolution touch screen and also a 35 key full QWERTY keyboard. Both of these improvements are extremely user friendly for people on the move who send emails and texts.
The Torch 9800 also comes with a new and improved 5 Megapixel camera. It has a lot of very nice features like face detection, autofocus, flash, and a high resolution 720p video recorder to name just a few of them.
The software in previous Blackberry's has been slow and unreliable at times causing frustration to many users. The BlackBerry Torch features a newly installed system, and it is a big improvement on the last one using a much quicker and durable operating system called the BlackBerry 6.

The phone is fully customizable through wall papers, ring tones, and menus etc. This is to give the user full personalization of the phone, and they can also incorporate their own ideas into the system using various applications.
